How to Import Cost Codes for a Project

Step 1: Access the Project

  • From the left-hand navigation menu, select Projects.

  • Choose the specific project you want to import cost codes for.

Step 2: Navigate to Cost Codes Tab

  • Click on the Cost Codes tab within the selected project.

Step 3: Initiate Import Process

  • Locate & select the lower Actions button in Cost Codes tab.

  • From the drop down select Import Cost Codes.

Step 4: Download Template

  • A pop-up will appear; download the provided template to your computer.

Step 5: Fill Out the Template

  • Open the downloaded template.

  • You will see two columns: Code and Description.

  • Enter the code and description for each cost code you wish to import & save to your computer.

Step 6: Upload the Completed Template

  • Return to Requidex.

  • In the pop-up, select click here to upload.

  • Choose the cost code file you just saved.

Step 7: Review the Data

  • Review the imported code and description in the pop-up.

  • Ensure all data is correct.

Step 8: Complete the Import

  • If satisfied with the data, click import in the bottom right corner of the pop-up.

  • All cost codes will be imported for the project.

Step 9: Check Status of Cost Codes

  • After import, you will see a status indicating the cost codes are now active.

Step 10: Manage Cost Codes

  • If needed, select a cost code and set it to inactive to hide it from the project.
