Step 1: Access the Trades Section
From the left-hand navigation menu, select Trades.
Step 2: Initiate Import Process
In the top right-hand corner, click on Actions.
Select Import Trades from the dropdown.
Step 3: Download Import Template
A pop-up will appear.
Click on Download Template to download an Excel file.
Step 4: Prepare the Excel File
Open the downloaded Excel file.
Add the trade names you want to import.
Optionally, provide descriptions for each trade.
Step 5: Organise Trades by Category
Note that the Excel file has multiple sheets, each representing a trade category.
Ensure you add trades to the correct category for proper organisation.
Step 6: Save the Document
After adding the trades, save the Excel document.
Step 7: Upload the Document
Return to the Requidex system.
Click on Click Here to Upload.
Locate and select the saved document from your laptop.
Step 8: Confirm Successful Import
Check that the trades have been imported successfully with names and descriptions.
Verify that trades are categorised correctly.
Step 9: Finalise the Import
Once satisfied with the import, click on Import in the bottom right corner.
Step 10: Alternative Method for Adding Trades
If desired, you can also check if trades already exist in the system.
Filter by category, check the boxes for trades, and save to add them.
Step 11: Benefits of Bulk Importing
Bulk importing is efficient for adding multiple trades.
It accommodates custom names and wording for each trade.
