Header and status
The detail page shows the timesheet reference, worker name, timesheet period, breadcrumb trail, and a status stepper. The stepper reflects pending, require approval, approved, invoice or AfP, cancelled, or absent state depending on the current record. A linked MSP-to-client invoice completes the Invoice step even when no agency-to-MSP invoice is required. Agencies can see that this invoice exists, but its reference, document, and activity details are hidden.
Overview tab
For hirers and agencies, the Overview table shows the linked assignment's saved tag when one is set, using the company's preferred label for user tags. The row is hidden when no tag is available.
The Overview tab shows the period summary and the core timesheet metadata. In the overview and quick view, hirers and agencies see plain rate labels such as PAYE, CIS or PSC when the company has configured the supplier as Umbrella. Agency suppliers retain Agency or Umbrella prefixes. The company setting applies even when project agency settings are overridden, and local deduction scheme labels are preserved. In the overview, a U badge beside an umbrella agency's name shows an Umbrella tooltip on hover for hirers and agencies. Use it to confirm the worker, assignment, company, project, site, agency, week ending, total hours or days, approved expenses, and total pay or charge values where visible. Custom field values configured for display on timesheets appear in a separate table below the main overview. Corrections saved on the source requisition update these values for hirers and agencies with access, including on historical timesheets and invoice screens. Previously generated invoice PDFs and attached snapshots remain unchanged; refresh an already-open page to see the corrected value.
Value tab
The Value tab shows the calculated daily lines and threshold information. For hirers and agencies, each daily line shows the recorded shift date, so overnight shifts stay on the day against which the hours were entered regardless of the viewer’s timezone. It includes shift type, standard and overtime quantities, rate descriptors, charge and pay rates, piece-work charge and pay totals by day where applicable, and totals. Piece-work unit rates display up to four decimal places where needed so the displayed rate explains the calculated total. Rate-restricted users see a reduced value view.
Version history
When versions exist, the Value tab includes a version selector. Historical versions are labelled by reason, such as created, amended, invoice raised, or AfP raised. Selecting a previous version shows the values and timelogs captured at that point, with changed summary fields and cells highlighted against the live version.
Cost Codes tab
The Cost Codes tab shows daily cost-code allocations. Hirer and agency users with amendment permission can edit allocations for a timelog and copy the exact allocations to other days with the same worked hours. Days with different or zero worked hours are skipped.
Piece Work tab
When the timesheet has piece-rate entries captured during amendment or import, a Piece Work tab appears. Each entry shows the piece-rate name and code, frequency (daily or weekly), rate type (CIS, PAYE, or PSC), and the snapshot charge and pay per unit at the time of capture. The lines table lists the date (for daily entries), units, pay, charge, and any comment or cost code, followed by an entry total. Snapshot values reflect any assignment-level employer-cost and markup overrides applied at capture time and do not change if the rate card is later edited. The tab follows the version selector on the Value tab so historical versions display the piece rates as they were on that version.
For both hirers and agencies with access to rates, the Value tab warns when saved piece work is dated outside the timesheet period. Those entries remain included in totals even if the daily breakdown does not show their dates. Review their dates, units and values in the Piece Work tab before approval or amendment.
Shift tab
For hirers and agencies, the Shift tab displays the assignment or timesheet shift pattern for the week. Dates follow the configured week start, including when the timesheet starts partway through the week or has days without time entries. The hours shown are the planned shift pattern, not the hours entered on the timesheet.
Expenses tab
For both hirers and agencies, rate restrictions also hide financial values in timesheet version history and assignment timesheet lists. Hours, days and piecework units remain available. Historical expense snapshots are hidden; expense entry access is checked separately on the Expenses tab. The Expenses tab lists expenses linked to the timesheet. It appears when rate access is not restricted or the hirer or agency user has Add expenses permission for that timesheet. Add expenses allows claim entry independently of Amend Timesheets; company and project adjustment settings and timesheet state still apply. Existing amendment, approval, rejection and deletion permissions remain separate. Restricted pay and charge rates, labour totals and billing documents remain hidden.
WRA Accommodation tab
When the timesheet has a positive payable WRA accommodation value, an extra tab appears using the configured label, such as 'WRA Accommodation' or 'Lodging'. The tab shows the daily amount, sibling timesheets in the worker-week, and a per-day breakdown explaining which timesheet won each day, which days are locked to a specific timesheet by invoice or AfP, and the reason any day did not count.
Billing tabs
Invoices, AfP, and Credit Notes tabs appear only when related records exist and billing and rate access are not restricted. Selecting an invoice or credit note opens the related document or workflow.
Activity and Comments
Activity records system and user actions on the timesheet. Comments support discussion, mentions, attachments, edits, deletes, and reactions where the shared comments component allows them.
Actions menu
The Actions menu is built from the timesheet status, permissions, company and project configuration, billing state, PO validation, and access controls. If an action is missing or disabled, the most common causes are missing permission, an incompatible status, linked invoice or AfP data, restricted billing or rates access, or a required PO that is missing or invalid.
For both hirers and agencies, hidden rates do not prevent Request Approval on a pending timesheet with a positive combined charge and expense value. You still need Amend Timesheets permission and company or project settings that allow approval requests. Approve Timesheets permission is not required to request approval.
For both hirers and agencies, deleting a timesheet is blocked if any linked expense has an invoice, AfP or MSP invoice, including custom allowance expenses. This applies even when the timesheet itself has no invoice. If Delete Timesheet is shown, attempting deletion returns an error and preserves the timesheet and its expenses.
What agencies see on the detail page
Agency (supplier) users open the same detail page for their own workers, but the view is tailored to them.
Overview, Cost Codes, Shift, Activity, and Comments are available so you can review the week and stay aligned with the hiring team.
Rate access restrictions continue to hide pay and charge rates and labour totals for agency users. Add expenses permission makes the Expenses tab available within the permitted scope, including claim amounts and receipts. Restricted billing documents remain hidden.
Invoices, AfP, and Credit Notes tabs appear only when your agency is allowed to invoice and billing access is not restricted.
Actions such as Amend Timesheet, Request Approval, and Recall appear only where the hiring company allows supplier-side adjustment and you hold the matching permission; approval and rejection normally stay with the hiring company.
