Notes tab
The Notes tab stores project-specific notes. The tab label shows the current note count. Use Add Note from the action menu while viewing the Notes tab to create a new note.
When to use notes
Use project notes for context that should stay with the project but is not a formal configuration value, such as operational comments, setup reminders, or internal follow-up notes.
Review notes
Project notes are paginated. Opening the Notes tab loads the notes for the project and updates the note count.
Adding and deleting notes
Add Note is available from the project action menu while the Notes tab is selected. After a note is deleted, the notes list and count are refreshed.
Log tab
The Log tab shows project activity history for the Project activity type. It is available to Project Admin, MSP Admin, Company Admin, and System Admin users.
Tracked changes
Project updates, cost code changes, agency overrides, project finance cost override changes or reverts, and enhanced uplift amendments are tracked through the project change and activity logging paths where those actions are supported.
Notes vs log
Notes are user-entered project comments. The Log tab is system-recorded activity history. Use the Log tab when you need to review who changed project data and use Notes when you need to record additional project context.
For agencies: notes and log access
Project notes and the project Log are internal hiring-company records, so they are not part of an agency's day-to-day view.
The Log tab is limited to Project Admin, Company Admin, MSP Admin, and System Admin users, so agency users do not see the project activity history.
Project notes are intended for the hiring company's internal project context.
If you need to record something against your workers, use the comments and activity on the relevant requisition, assignment, or timesheet instead.
