Start with these checks
Confirm you are in the correct company or project context.
Clear search terms and filters, then reload the Projects tab.
Check whether the project is active or inactive.
Check that your user is assigned to the project in the correct role.
Check that the company has the required regions, sectors, agencies, and rates configured.
I cannot see a project
Check that the project belongs to the company or MSP scope you are using.
For project roles, check that you are assigned to the project as Admin, Finance, Approver, or Requestor.
Clear search, company, supplier, and active-only filters.
If the row is hidden, use Request to ask for access.
A hidden project cannot be opened
Hidden projects are shown for access-request workflows only. Request access first. The project row can be opened after access is granted.
I cannot create a project
Check that the company exists and is active.
Check that you have permission to create projects for the company.
Complete required fields: name, company, site type, jurisdiction, address, region, sector, and dates.
Make sure the company has regions and sectors configured.
Check that the postcode and address are valid.
I cannot save project changes
Check that you have project edit permission for this project.
Fix validation errors on the Overview or Finance tab.
Enter a project address if creating a new project.
If project-specific standard uplifts are enabled, add at least one project rate uplift before saving.
If the Save button is not shown, you may be on a tab that uses separate actions such as Users, Cost Codes, Rates, Log, or Notes.
Project address validation is failing
Check that address line one, city, country, country-specific postcode, and bank holiday region are present.
Use a valid country from the supported country list.
Use a valid bank holiday region.
Correct the postcode format if the validation message returns a formatted or country-specific issue.
Users are missing from assignment lists
Check that the user is active and verified.
Check that the user has the right project role.
Check that you have permission to assign that user type.
For timesheet approvers, check that the user is assigned to the project and has timesheet approval permission.
Cost code import failed
Every row must include both code and description.
Duplicate code and description pairs are skipped.
You need project edit permission to manage cost codes.
Confirm that the uploaded file matches the expected cost code import format.
Project import failed
Use an .xlsx file and keep the import to 100 projects or fewer.
Select a company before uploading.
Use existing company region and sector names.
Use valid countries, bank holiday regions, postcodes, and email addresses.
Complete finance and billing fields when the project does not inherit them from the parent company.
Export returns no data
Check that the selected company scope contains projects.
Check that you have permission to export project data for the selected company.
For project roles, check that you are assigned to projects in that company.
Try exporting from the current company context if selecting companies manually returns no rows.
Agencies or rates are missing
Check that the Agencies or Rates tab is available for your role.
Check that rates access control is not hiding rates.
Confirm that the project has region and sector values.
Confirm that the agency is connected at company or project level and has not been excluded from the project.
If project or supplier rates were reverted or reset, review the company-level rate card.
I cannot edit the project shift pattern
Only Company Admin, Project Admin, MSP Admin, and System Admin users can edit the project shift pattern.
Enhanced uplifts can control the shift pattern and prevent direct shift editing.
Sites with their own shift override are not overwritten by normal project shift changes.
The Log tab is not visible
The project Log tab is only shown on existing projects to Project Admin, MSP Admin, Company Admin, and System Admin users.
For agencies: common project questions
If a project is missing, confirm your agency is connected to that hiring company and project, and check the company filter.
If you cannot create, edit, or import projects, that is expected; project setup is a hiring-company action.
If rates, agencies, finance, config, notes, or the Log are not visible, those tabs are hiring-company controls and are not shown to agency users.
If you cannot amend or import hours for a project's timesheets, check that the hiring company allows supplier-side timesheet adjustment for that project.
If a cost code you need is missing, ask the hiring company to add or reactivate it on the project.
If rates or markup look wrong, raise it with the hiring company, since project agency rates and finance are configured by them.
