Reviewing the Projects List

How to use the projects table, understand visible columns, set a default project, and request or remove access

Written by Austin Brummer

What the list shows

The Projects list shows the projects available in your current scope. Each row includes the project name or number, company, site count, company region, bank holiday region, company sector, project progress, and active status.

Projects and Sites tabs

Projects and Sites share the same entity page. Use the Projects tab to work with project records. Changing tabs clears the current search and filters, resets paging, and reloads the selected list.

For hirers and agencies with access to the Sites tab, the sites table shows Name, Project, Company, and Active. The Active column shows a green tick for active sites and a red cross for inactive sites.

Project and site exports use the shared export naming format: a lowercase export type, optional company scope, and the export date.

Search, filters, and paging

Search runs against the project list and resets the page to the first page. Filters can include company, region, sector, and status. Company and project-role users are automatically scoped to their current company or project context.

Available actions

  • New Project opens the project creation form when you have project creation permission.

  • Import Projects opens the spreadsheet import dialog when you have project creation permission.

  • Export Projects downloads project data for the current or selected company scope.

  • Project-role users can remove themselves from assigned projects or request access to hidden projects from the row action.

Open a project

Select a project row to open the project detail page. Hidden rows cannot be opened until access is granted.

Set a default project

Users can set a default project preference from the Projects list. The preference is saved to the user profile and stored locally for faster access.

Request access

Project-role users may see projects that are hidden from normal access. Use Request to ask for access. The system sends the request to the company administrator for consideration.

Project subtitles

Project-role users may see subtitle text explaining why the list is scoped to them, such as projects assigned as Admin, Approver, or Requestor.

Remove yourself

Project-role users can remove themselves from a project from the list. After removal, the row is hidden in the current list and access to that project is removed for that user role.

Why a project may be missing

  • The project is outside your company, project, supplier, or MSP scope

  • You are not assigned to the project in the correct project role

  • The current company, supplier, active-only, or search filter excludes it

  • The project has been deleted or is not available in the selected context

For agencies: the projects you see

If you work for an agency, the projects list is limited to the projects your agency is connected to across the hiring companies you work with.

  • You see projects only for hiring companies and projects your agency is attached to, not the company's full project list.

  • Use the company filter to switch between the hiring companies you are connected to when you work with more than one.

  • Creating, importing, and editing projects are hiring-company actions, so agency users would not normally see those options.

  • If a project you expect to work on is missing, ask the hiring company to attach your agency to that project.
