Reviewing the assignment detail page

What each assignment detail tab shows and when conditional tabs or actions appear

Written by Austin Brummer

Header and progress

The top of the detail page shows the assignment reference, worker name, trade, available actions, and a progress stepper. The stepper reflects Assigned, Confirmed, Completed, or Cancelled depending on the assignment status.

Overview tab

For hirers and agencies, the overview tables expand to fit all visible rows without a separate vertical scrollbar.

For hirers and agencies, the Overview table shows the assignment's saved tag when one is set, using the company's preferred label for user tags. The row is hidden when no tag is available.

For hirers and agencies, the Hiring Managers row shows the names and email addresses of the source requisition's current hiring managers. The row is hidden when no hiring managers are set. Refresh the assignment after changing hiring managers on the requisition to see the updated details.

When the accommodation address row is shown, hirer and agency users with permission to update lodge addresses can use its edit icon to set, change or remove the address. This is separate from permission to change whether the accommodation allowance applies. Trade exclusions still restrict address editing outside lodge journey mode, unless the hirer user is a company administrator.

For hirers and agencies, a saved lodge address has a View on map link in the Overview tab and assignment quick view, even when no distance is shown.

When automatic purchase-order linking is enabled, an eligible purchase order matching the company, agency, project, site, trade, and validity rules is linked when the worker is assigned. This applies whether the worker is assigned automatically or selected by the hiring company. Agency users see the linked purchase order only where their billing access allows it.

  • Source requisition or direct-assignment indicator

  • Replacement links where applicable

  • Purchase order, dates, requestor, approver, company, project, site, cost code, work activity, and agency

  • For hirers and agencies, a U badge beside an umbrella agency's name, with an Umbrella tooltip

  • Timesheet approvers when specific assignment approvers are enabled

  • Custom field values inherited from the source requisition and configured for display on assignments, shown in a separate table below the main overview. Corrections saved on the requisition also update existing assignments and their timesheets for hirers and agencies with access; refresh an already-open page to see the change

  • Accommodation and lodge address fields where WRA or lodge configuration applies. Company admins can set or clear an assignment daily amount override in the accommodation dialog

  • Company or project custom allowances and whether each applies to this assignment. Allowances configured to apply by default are selected when a new assignment meets their eligibility rules. Hiring-company administrators can change applicability or set an assignment daily amount override from the overview. The amount field shows the currency prefix and starts with the currently applied assignment, project, or company daily amount; leaving the amount unchanged preserves the existing default, and clearing it restores the company or project amount. Agencies can view the resulting applicability and allowances on their assignments and timesheets; eligible allowances are calculated on timesheets independently of the WRA switch

  • Custom assignment meta fields

Worker tab

  • Worker name, reference, contact details, address, and worker number

  • Rate type and pay type. For hirers and agencies, suppliers configured as Umbrella in the company agency settings show plain rate labels such as PAYE, CIS or PSC in the Worker tab and quick view. Agency suppliers retain Agency or Umbrella prefixes. The same rule applies to the rate-type selector when editing an assignment; the local deduction scheme label is used where applicable.

  • Umbrella company, self-employment, SDC, SDS, KID, and custom document requirements where configured

  • Right-to-work and competency or certification attachments

Value, shift, and trade

  • Value shows pay, charge, uplift, and rate information when rate access is available. Hirers and agencies see explicitly marked POA time-based pay and charge as POA, positive rates as currency, and ordinary zero or absent rates as -. For POA assignments, employer costs, markup, value columns and monetary totals display as -. Assignment PDF and Excel exports also show POA pay and charge rates with hyphens for monetary values and totals. Priced assignments retain normal currency formatting, including legitimate zero values. Restricted financial values remain hidden.

  • Rate Uplifts and Amend Rates actions appear according to configuration and permissions.

  • Shift shows the working pattern for non-shift-based assignments and supports shift amendment where allowed.

  • Trade shows the assigned trade and requirements, using your company's preferred trade phrasing.

Timesheets

The Timesheets tab groups related timesheets by Pending, Require Approval, Approved, Cancelled, Absent, and Expenses. Where applicable, an additional accommodation or lodge allowance subtab is shown.

Activity and comments

Activity shows the audit trail for assignment events. Comments show the conversation attached to the assignment, including reactions, edits, deletions, mentions, and attachments where available.

What agencies see on the detail page

Agency (supplier) users open the same detail page for their own workers, but the view is tailored to them. In practice this means:

  • The Overview, Worker, Shift, Trade, Timesheets, Activity, and Comments tabs are available so you can manage the placement.

  • The Value tab and rate, charge, and PO fields are hidden when rate or billing access is restricted for agency users.

  • Actions such as Confirm Start, End Assignment, and document uploads appear only when the hiring company has enabled them for agencies and you hold the relevant permission.

  • Comments and activity let you stay aligned with the hiring team on documents, dates, and any changes to the placement.

Worker bank details

Bank details are hidden by default. For hirers: in Company config > Submission Criteria, select Bank details, then choose the connected agencies that must provide them. Only selected agencies are required to add bank details before submitting workers to this client. Removing the requirement hides the details without deleting saved accounts.

For agencies: the Bank Details tab becomes available when at least one connected client selects your agency. Add the details on the saved worker profile before submitting to a client that requires them. The response dialog shows Bank details required for workers without saved details and prevents selecting them. Clients that have not selected your agency do not require bank details.

For agency users with worker editing permission: open a saved worker profile, select Bank Details, then Add Bank Details. Use Edit Bank Details when details have already been saved. Enter an account name and either UK account details or an IBAN account. Bank name is optional; BIC/SWIFT is optional for IBAN accounts. Required fields change with the account type. UK sort codes display hyphens automatically as you type, for example 12-34-56. Invalid fields use a highlighted outline without separate error labels. Save is disabled until the account details are valid, or every account field is cleared to remove saved details. Save the details once for the worker, then update them in the same place when needed. They do not need to be entered again for each submission. Clear every account field and save to remove them.

For agencies and hirers: the same worker bank details appear on the worker record, when reviewing a submitted worker, and in Worker information on an assignment. The table shows the account type as UK account or IBAN account. Hirers can view permitted bank details but cannot add, edit or remove them. Requisition and assignment views are read-only. Bank details follow existing worker access and the client’s agency selection. A hirer can view them only for a company they have access to, when that company enables bank details for one of the worker’s connected agencies. For agencies, the worker must be represented by an agency in the user’s current scope that is enabled by a connected client. The saved account remains shared across permitted agencies.

Use Workers > Bank Details in Access Control to restrict visibility for roles or individual users. To limit visibility to an approved group, restrict the relevant roles and exempt the approved users. Restricted users cannot view or retrieve bank details.

The views show the worker’s current saved details, so an update applies across agencies and existing requisitions and assignments. Standard exports and Open API responses do not include bank details.
