Reviewing the requisition detail page

What each requisition detail tab shows and when conditional tabs appear

Written by Austin Brummer

Actions menu

The Actions menu is at the top right of the requisition detail page. The available actions depend on your access and the requisition's status.

To approve as a hiring-company user, select Actions, then Approve requisition. The action label follows your company's preferred name for requisitions. You do not need to scroll to an approval section; the Overview tab shows approval information, while the approval action is in the Actions menu.

Tabs you might see

The detail page is split into tabs. Some are always shown, others appear only when relevant:

  • Overview — always shown.

  • Shift — always shown.

  • Value — shown when you have access to rate information.

  • Trade — always shown; the label may use your company's preferred trade phrasing.

  • Agencies — always shown.

  • Workers — shown when there are submitted workers and trade competency data is available.

  • Coverage — shown for shift-based requisitions only.

  • Activity — always shown.

  • Comments — always shown.

Overview tab

The main summary of the requisition. It includes:

  • Raised date, requestor, and approver information

  • Selected hiring managers, including the first manager's name and email and a count of any additional managers; hover over the additional-manager count to see their names and email addresses

  • Company, project, site, and region or sector

  • Work activity and dates; cost code appears when one is selected or the project has an available cost code

  • Other high-level requisition details

  • Custom field values submitted with the requisition. Applicable fields from the current or earlier completion stages also appear when their answer is missing

Review or complete custom fields

Hirers and agencies can review requisition custom fields in the Overview tab. A dash means no answer has been saved.

Hirers with custom-field amendment access can use the edit icon beside a field to save or correct an answer. Fields due when raising a requisition can be completed after it has been raised or approved. Mandatory fields require an answer when saved. Saved answers are included in requisition reports that contain the custom field.

Add or edit hiring managers after approval

When the company requires a hiring manager, hirer company admins and project admins can add or edit hiring managers from the Overview tab, including after the requisition has been approved. Select the edit icon beside Hiring Managers, choose the managers, then select Save. If none are selected, the row shows No hiring managers set. When this company setting is off, the empty row and edit action are hidden; previously selected managers remain visible to hirers and agencies with requisition access.

Available managers are active, verified company admins or project users with Assign Worker to Requisition permission. At least one manager must remain selected when your company requires a hiring manager. Each change is recorded in Activity and does not restart requisition approval.

The current hiring managers receive notifications for future worker submissions. With the required project access, they can view the requisition and its linked assignments and timesheets, including existing records. Selection does not grant approval permissions.

Agency users can view selected hiring managers through their existing requisition access but cannot amend the selection.

Shift tab

Review the shift pattern attached to the requisition. It shows:

  • Working days

  • Start and end times

  • Breaks

  • Pay type context for the shift

Value tab

Review pay and charge values for the requisition. Visibility depends on your access:

  • Only visible when your user access allows rate information to be shown.

  • For piece-rate-only requisitions, the page confirms that piece rates apply and explains that values are calculated from completed units on timesheets.

  • For assigned requisitions, values can be shown against assignment data.

  • For unassigned requisitions, values are shown against the requested quantity.

  • Hourly and daily values are itemised by weekday, weekday night work, bank holiday, bank holiday night work, Saturday, Saturday night work, Sunday, Sunday night work, and overtime uplift categories when applicable.

  • Older requisitions can show an unitemised historical value when their saved total includes a category that was not retained in the historical breakdown.

Trade and requirements tab

Review the trade and any requirements attached to it:

  • Trade, category, tags, and description

  • A minimum-age badge beside the trade name in the page heading and Trade tab when the trade has an age requirement; hover over the badge to see the full requirement

  • Competency or certification requirements

  • The tab label may use your company's preferred phrasing for trade

Agencies tab

See which agencies are connected to the requisition and their current status. The tab shows:

  • Agency tier and status

  • A U badge beside an umbrella agency's name, with an Umbrella tooltip for hirers and agencies

  • Submitted and assigned quantities

  • Schedule actions, where applicable

  • Options to amend the schedule or send a scheduled agency immediately, when you have access

Workers tab

Review submitted workers and assignments. This tab appears when the requisition has submitted workers and trade competency data is available. It supports reviewing each submission against the requisition's competency requirements. For both hirers and agencies, the Agency column shows a U badge with an Umbrella tooltip beside umbrella agency names. The Assignment column is shown only when at least one worker visible to them has an assignment reference.

Coverage tab

Review day-by-day coverage for shift-based requisitions. Two views are available:

  • Calendar view, for a visual overview of coverage across the date range.

  • Table view, for a detailed daily breakdown.

Coverage statuses

Each working day shows one of these statuses:

  • Covered — assigned workers meet or exceed the required workers for that shift.

  • Partial — assigned workers are below the required workers for that shift.

  • Uncovered — no workers are assigned to that shift.

Activity tab

Review the requisition audit trail. Recorded events include:

  • Creation and approvals

  • Agency sending, schedule changes, removals, and retractions

  • Amendments (quantity, dates, shift, rates, cost code, competency, and custom fields). Custom-field activity records the previous and new values

  • Worker submissions, stage changes, and assignments

  • Rejection, cancellation, and reinstatement

Comments tab

Read and add requisition comments. The tab label shows the current comment count, and the actions available depend on your access:

  • Add new comments

  • Edit or delete your own comments

  • React to comments

  • Broadcast comments to relevant users

What agencies see on the detail page

Agency (supplier) users open the same detail page but see a focused view tailored to their agency. In practice this means:

  • The requirement, dates, shift pattern, quantity, trade, and requirements needed to respond are shown.

  • Worker and coverage information is filtered to the agency's own submissions — other agencies' workers and submissions are not shown.

  • Certain internal rate and value details are hidden from agency users.

  • From the detail page agencies can respond to the requisition, submit or amend workers, and add comments to the hiring team.
