What a requisition is
Hirers and agencies can add Region and Sector using the requisition table column picker. Both columns are unchecked by default and show the current project region and sector. Enabling either column refreshes the list to load its values. You can check either column to show it, and your column visibility and order are saved to your account, including after logging out and back in.
Hirers and agencies can also enable Awaiting review in the column picker. It is hidden by default and counts unassigned, unrejected submissions still at the Submitted stage, including older submissions without a recorded stage. Submissions that have moved to another recruitment stage are excluded. A positive count is highlighted. Hirers see submissions available to them; agency counts use the submissions visible in their list. The column choice is saved with your account preferences. When recruitment stage tracking is disabled, reviewing a CV alone does not change this count; the submission remains counted until it is rejected or assigned.
A requisition is a request to fill a role or staffing need. It contains the information internal teams and agencies need to understand the requirement.
Project, site, and (optionally) work activity
Trade or role and any competency requirements
Start and end dates, plus shift pattern for shift-based requisitions
Quantity of workers required
Rates, pay type, and cost code
Requestor, approver(s), and timesheet approvers
Agencies selected to fulfil the requirement
Submitted workers, assignments, comments, and full activity history
Typical lifecycle
A requisition normally moves through the following stages:
Raised: a user creates the requisition and submits it for approval, unless it is auto-approved.
Approved: approval is complete, either through an approver or auto-approval. The requisition list shows Open while the approved requisition is active and not filled.
Sent to agencies: the requisition is released to selected agencies so they can respond.
Agency response: each agency accepts and submits workers, or declines the requisition.
Workers submitted: agencies submit suitable workers or candidates for review.
Filled: enough workers have been assigned to meet the headcount or daily coverage requirement; start confirmation is not required.
Cancelled: the requisition is stopped if the staffing need no longer exists.
Who can raise requisitions
Requisitions can be raised by users with creation access for the relevant company or project. This commonly includes:
Company Admin
Project Admin
Project Approver
Project Requestor
Project Finance
MSP Admin
Who can approve requisitions
Approvals are controlled by the requisition approval permission and the approval setup for the project or company. Roles that can approve include:
Configured approvers for the project or stage
Company Admin
Project Admin
Project Approver
MSP Admin where permitted
Multi-stage approval
When multi-stage approval is configured, the requisition must pass through more than one approval stage before it can be sent to agencies. An eligible approver completes the pending stage from Actions, then Approve requisition, at the top right of the detail page. Flexible approval can allow higher-stage approvers to complete lower pending stages in the same action.
Who can assign workers
Worker assignment is controlled by the requisition assignment permission. Users with this permission can review submitted workers and assign suitable workers to the requisition. Where auto-assign is enabled, qualifying submitted workers can be assigned automatically without manual review.
Who can amend requisitions
Amendment access depends on the type of change, your role, and the requisition state. Individual amendment types have their own access checks:
Quantity
Supplier list
Rates
Assignment basis (auto-assign vs manual-assign)
Cost code
Shift pattern
Dates
Recruitment stage
Who can view requisitions
Requisition visibility depends on the user's relationship to the requisition. Users may see requisitions for their:
Company, when they hold a company-level role
Assigned projects, for project-level roles
Finance scope, for company or project finance roles
Supplier desk, when the agency has been sent the requisition
MSP client access
For hirers: what you do with a requisition
If you work for the hiring company, requisitions are how you request and control staffing. From your side you typically:
Raise the requisition with the role, dates, quantity, rates, and requirements.
Send it through approval (or auto-approve it where permitted).
Choose which agencies receive it, immediately or on a tiered schedule.
Review submitted workers, manage recruitment stages, and assign suitable workers.
Amend, cancel, or reinstate the requisition as the need changes.
For agencies: what you do with a requisition
If you work for an agency (also called a supplier or labour desk), you act on requisitions that the hiring company has sent to you. Agencies see a focused view of the requisition: some internal information, such as other agencies' submissions and certain rate or value details, is not shown to agency users. From your side you typically:
See requisitions sent to your agency once they are approved and released to you.
Accept the requisition and submit suitable workers, or decline it with a reason.
Provide worker details, rates, documents, right-to-work, and availability against the requirement.
Track the status of your submitted workers as they move through recruitment stages and into assignments.
Use comments to communicate with the hiring team about the requirement.
List filters
On the Requisitions list, hirers and agencies can narrow results by the selected company's regions and sectors as well as by project and the other available filters. Agency users get the first available company pre-selected when no company filter is already applied.
Hirers and agencies can use the outlined More Filters button at the bottom left of the filter panel to choose which filters are shown. Use the menu checkboxes to toggle Requestor, Approver or a custom text field, such as Job/Monitor Ref, for the selected company. These extra filters are hidden by default. The searchable Requestor dropdown lists each person who has raised a requisition for the selected company once, across all statuses, dates and projects. Names appear above job titles and email addresses. Select one or more people to filter by their user records. The Approver dropdown uses the same name, job title and email layout and lists distinct company approvers from requisitions and assignments. On requisitions it matches assigned or recorded approvers; on assignments it matches the assignment approver. Custom text filters match part of the field value, ignoring capitals. Apply saves your chosen filters to your account separately for Requisitions and Assignments. Uncheck a filter in More Filters to remove its control and clear its value, then select Apply; Clear removes filter values while keeping your chosen controls. Existing access restrictions still apply.
