I cannot see an action
Assignment actions are permission and status driven. If an action is missing, check your assignment permissions, the current assignment status, whether timesheets exist, and whether the company configuration enables the action.
I cannot see rates or billing fields
Rate and billing information can be hidden by access-control settings. When rate access is restricted, the Value tab and rate columns are hidden. When billing access is restricted, purchase order fields can be hidden.
Confirmation failed
Check that the assignment is not already confirmed.
Upload all required custom documents.
Confirm that the worker meets competency requirements when competency matrix checks are enabled.
Set a lodge address when the assignment requires one.
Check that the selected start date is correct.
Date change is blocked
A pending end date approval request may already exist.
End date approval may require the next approver to approve or reject the request.
Only Company Admin can bypass approval when bypass approval is offered.
Some date actions are hidden for shift-based assignments.
Cannot reinstate
Only cancelled assignments can be reinstated. Reinstatement is blocked when the same worker already has another pending or confirmed assignment on the same requisition.
Filters do not show expected records
Clear saved filters, check the company/project/agency context, and review date filter type. Company and project users may also have user-tag filters applied by default.
Assignment import failed
Use the assignment import template and keep the file to 50 rows or fewer.
Use the lookup sheets in the downloaded template to copy full IDs for projects, sites, candidates, agencies, users, trades, umbrellas, or tags. Names, codes, prefixes, emails, and nanoids are not accepted in import rows.
Check required fields: project, agency, worker, approver, requestor, trade, rate type, pay type, start date, and end date.
Confirm referenced agencies are associated with the project and are not restricted or excluded.
Confirm a valid rate card exists for the selected project, trade, agency, rate type, and pay type.
Confirm the user is a company admin; assignment import is not available to other roles.
Use standard fulfilment only; shift-based assignment import is not supported.
Review the row-level errors shown after import; successful rows may still be created when other rows fail.
For agencies: common issues
You cannot see an assignment — you only see assignments for your own workers on companies and projects your agency has access to; ask the hiring company if you expected access.
You cannot confirm a start — confirmation may be reserved for the hiring company, or you may be missing the confirm permission for that company or project.
You cannot change rates or see value figures — rate and billing data is often restricted for agency users, and rate amendments usually stay with the hiring company.
An action is missing — many actions, such as amending dates, ending, or requesting a replacement, depend on permissions and supplier-action settings the hiring company controls.
A worker needs portal access — worker timesheet access and notifications are set by the hiring company, so ask them to enable it.
